Straight Rec stays undefeated as they beat the Hawks, 51-38
When your team is 12 players deep, you tend to have fresh legs. Well Captain Amanda Jackson and Straight Rec have started the inaugural Women's Premier Basketball League season off undefeated, beating all 3 teams in the league. This latest win was over the Former D1 player and Brooklyn Summitt and the Hawks. Straight Rec was led by Forward Brianna Innocent, who posted a double-double with 13 points on 4-6 shooting and 11 rebounds. The game was fairly close throughout the first half, but things quickly changed in the 2nd. Part of the reason why the Hawks got blown out was because of their 3 point shooting. You cant win most games shooting a collective 4-26 from behind the arc, especially when your best player goes 0-7. For now, Straight Rec looks to be in the driver seat when it comes to capture the league championship trophy.
