Dre Yates, Terror Squad gives The Fellas their 1st loss of the season
When the top 2 teams in the league match up, you know it's going to be a good one. Coming into the game, The fellas (Led by 2018 Fall League MVP Ron Brooks) were the only team left in the league that was undefeated at 8-0. Although their BPI is low, the fact that they continue to get W's is the main reason why they sat at #1 for so long. Their opponent (Terror Squad) wanted nothing more than to give them their 1st loss on the season.
Both teams started out strong as Terror Squad maintained a slim 4-8 point lead throughout the 1st half. The 2nd half was more of the same, but Terror Squad's 2nd half was better than The Fellas. Although Ron Brooks tried to keep his team in the game with his game leading 25 points on 8 of 13 shooting, it just wasn't enough as the rest of the guys didn't do much. Dre Yates led the Terror Squad with 18 points. Most of his points came from the free throw line, as he went 7-13. Dewayne Martin helped solidify the win with his 15 points and 5 rebounds.
This win almost certainly puts Terror Squad in the #1 spot heading in the tournament on May 5th. With the low BPI from The Fellas, expect them to drop when the bracket comes out later today.
